Our Story

Every great business has a story, and ours began with resilience, friendship, and a passion for beautiful homes.

When James found himself made redundant, he didn't let it hold him back. Instead, he turned it into an opportunity — teaming up with his brothers to launch Ticos Trades, a business built on hard work and determination. Over time, James took the reins on his own and transformed it into what it is today: Homely Decor by James.

The Meaning Behind LS Home & Living

The "LS" in LS Home & Living stands for Laura — a truly special friend who stood by James during some of the most difficult times in his life. It felt only right to honour that friendship and loyalty by weaving her name into the heart of the business. Some people just deserve to be remembered. 💙

From Etsy to Our Own Store

Like many small businesses, we started out on Etsy — but we quickly outgrew it. We had bigger ambitions, a growing product range, and a vision that needed more room to breathe. That's what led us to launch our own online store, giving us the freedom to offer you a wider, better experience.

As the range expanded, we made the natural decision to separate our collections: Homely Decor by James focuses on stunning rattan furniture and larger statement pieces, while LS Home & Living brings you our beautiful ornaments, wax melts, and home accessories.

James is a proud dad to two young children — his absolute world — and everything he does is for them. That drive and dedication is reflected in every product we choose and every order we send out.
